Snapp ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Contact Information:

  • Email address (collected via Firebase Authentication for login)

User Content:

  • App prompts you write
  • Generated app code
  • Saved projects (stored in Supabase)

Location Data:

  • Device location (GPS and/or network-based) — accessed only when you use location features within apps you generate using Snapp
  • Precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and approximate location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) permissions may be requested at runtime
  • Background location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) may be used if the app you generate requires it; you will be explicitly prompted before this permission is granted

Diagnostic Data:

  • Crash reports (via Sentry)
  • Performance metrics (via Sentry)
  • Device information for debugging

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Authentication: Email for account login via Firebase
  • App Functionality: Store your projects and enable app features
  • Service Improvement: Analyze crashes and performance to fix bugs
  • Notifications: Send updates about your generated apps (via Firebase Messaging)
  • Location Features: Device location is accessed solely to power location-based functionality within the apps you create (e.g., showing nearby places, mapping, geofencing). Location data is processed on-device or by the service you configure in your generated app and is nevercollected, stored, or transmitted to Snapp's servers.

3. Information Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication and push notifications
  • Supabase: Database storage for your projects
  • Sentry: Error and performance monitoring
  • Anthropic (Claude AI): AI code generation (see Section 3.1 below)

We do NOT:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your data for advertising
  • Track you across other apps or websites

3.1. AI Service Integration (Claude AI by Anthropic)

Snapp uses Claude AI, provided by Anthropic Inc., to generate mobile applications based on your descriptions. Before using AI features, you will be asked to consent to sending your data to Anthropic.

Data Sent to Claude AI:

  • Your app descriptions and prompts
  • Previously generated code (for improvements and iterations)
  • App generation preferences and settings

Data NOT Sent to AI:

  • Your email address or account information
  • Device identifiers or hardware information
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Payment information

Third-Party AI Provider:

  • Service: Claude AI
  • Provider: Anthropic Inc.
  • Privacy Policy: anthropic.com/privacy
  • Data Use: App code generation only
  • AI Training:Your data is NOT used for AI model training (per Anthropic's commercial terms)

Data Protection:

  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3
  • Your prompts are not shared with other Snapp users
  • No data is shared with advertisers or marketing companies
  • You can delete your prompts and projects anytime

Your Consent:

Before using AI features for the first time, Snapp will ask for your explicit consent to send your prompts to Claude AI. You can choose to:

  • Accept and use AI features
  • Decline and use Snapp without AI generation

By consenting, you agree to have your app prompts processed by Anthropic's Claude AI service for the purpose of generating mobile application code.

4. Data Retention

  • Projects: Until you delete them
  • Crash logs: 90 days
  • Account data: Until account deletion

5. Your Rights

You may:

  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your projects
  • Opt-out of push notifications
  • Delete your account

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption and secure cloud storage (Firebase, Supabase).

7. Children's Privacy

Snapp is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
